        theREVOLUTION:The Unveiling

The Theology of the Body Evangelization Team put on a four day workshop during August during which teams of students were prepared to promote and teach the Theology of the Body materials to other college students.

theREVOLUTION: The Unveiling was held on campus on Sept. 22nd, we had close to 100 students there, it was a success for St. Mary's, our promo material was out all over campus and it attracted a good number of students. The best part is that we signed up 70+ students to be in TOB study groups led by leaders that went to the training retreat. So far each of the five groups have 12-17 students. We are really proud of our students and all the work that they put on to make this whole program a success for us.

“Amidst this “culture of death,” an age of moral relativism and darkness, Pope John Paul II has given us a luminous masterpiece, the Theology of the Body. Parents and educators of the youth are faced with the challenge, then, of how to present such profound and erudite thoughts to the impressionable teen and pre-teen when the mere mention of sexuality in the classroom risks awkward or inappropriate reactions. Thankfully, TOBET shared the wonderful message of the Theology of the Body with my 7th and 8th graders in a digestible, reverent, exciting, and memorable way!”

“Giving talks through TOBET4/ByTeens has worked wonders in my life by re-igniting my own zeal for the Lord and by helping me to see how many wonderful youth are waiting and thirsting for the message of the Theology of the Body.”
      Kevin Kolker, 11th Grader

“John Paul II’s teachings and interpretations of our likeness in God through our body, soul, and spirit show us that the Theology of the Body is for everyone. Having the chance to partake in TOBET4/ByTeens allows me to share with other teens, not just Catholics, the importance of respecting, loving, and living a pure and chaste life. The team has impacted my life so much and has helped lead me to take a stand, to be the difference.”
      Timothy Jara, 11th Grader

“TOBET4/ByTeens program does a fantastic job of reaching the youth with the message of sexuality that is appropriate, pure, and life giving. Out of all of our youth nights, the teens seemed to be impacted the most by the TOBET teens and by their mentor/coach Monica Ashour. The TOBET leaders easily captured the hearts and minds of our youth and certainly left an unforgettable impression on them. TOBET shares a message of truth and hope creatively and dynamically!  They are doing great work for our Catholic Church and our young people!”
      Kelli Simon, Youth Minister

“I believe that God has brought TOBET into fruition so that it can be a shining light in today’s culture. Through talks and study groups, TOBET aims to equip people to be ambassadors of this great news: that the human body has a purpose in God’s plan and is of great dignity. This is the message of the incarnation, when the word was made flesh. Truly, Jesus Christ, in becoming man, has shown us by what dignity he considers the human person.“
