Hispanic and Latino Outreach (HALO)

The Hispanic and Latino Outreach Project (HALO) consists of expanding TOBET in two areas in order to better reach the Hispanic and Latino communities: 1) TOBET focuses on bringing TOB to these communities pro bono for underprivileged schools and churches, and 2) TOBET utilizes media and technology to evangelize the Hispanic and Latino community by developing new materials which specifically address the needs of this culture in their language. The following are examples of this effort: 1) Print publications such as brochures and quarterly newsletters, 2) Website development, 3) Talks, and 4) Audio CDs.

TOBET College

TOBET is currently developing a curriculum for adults to be implemented within the context of the TOBET College. This college will catechize and educate ministry leaders, seminarians, and other individuals on the intricacies of our Catholic Faith and what it means to be human through the perspective of Pope John Paul II’s Theology of the Body. With the recent access TOBET has gained to a facility that would be capable of hosting this endeavor, the possibility of operating a college is now realistic, albeit much more funding will be needed in order to take on this task.

TOBET Transforms Teens

TOBET is currently in the beginning stages of developing a resource guide for catechists and youth ministers on the totality of the Catholic faith based on The Theology of the Body which is geared toward teens. The unique aspect about TOBET’s approach to education is that the resource guide is more than teaching how TOB relates to sexuality. TOB can be used as a model to catechize youth on all of the doctrines and beliefs of our Catholic faith which is the intended purpose of this work. The resource guide is meant to be distributed as a supplemental document to the already-established curricula within Catholic schools.
